The National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) has declared Furuno the best fish finder in the industry for 41 years. Commercial fishermen have continued to use Furuno due to the brand loyalty that has been passed down for generations, and the quality of their products. Furuno offers a variety of fish finders for owner-operated run fishing vessels to commercial fleet trawlers.

A popular option across the board is the FCV295, a 10.4-inch color LCD sounder, less transducer. The LCD display provides superior viewing even in direct sunlight to ensure readability on the water. The FCV295 can display echoes in 8, 16, or even 64 colors, with color assignments depending on the strength of the return echo. The Furuno Free Synthesizer Transceiver allows a wide choice of operating frequencies, with the ability to choose any two frequencies between 28 and 200 kHz to fit your fishing operations. A solid variety of display modes and functions are available, which can provide you with simple and intuitive information.

The Furuno Digital Filter is a cutting-edge feature that optimizes the gain to produce highly defined images of underwater conditions. It excels in showing target fish close to the seabed, even in challenging environments. The 295's impressive range of 9000 ft is enhanced by the filter's ability to eliminate noise, delivering a sharp and detailed echo presentation. The top of the seabed is displayed in white, making it easy to recognize the seabed structure from the bottom fish returns.

The 295’s post-processing gain control shows quick results, eliminating the need to wait for the screen to repaint to see if the settings are correct. The gain settings are applied not only to the new echoes but also to all past echoes on the screen. Comparing past and current echoes using the gain settings allows you to determine the right setting for your conditions.

The rate of transmission has increased by more than 30% compared to conventional fish finders, resulting in more detailed information about underwater conditions gained through the same sounding interval. The auto transmission function will automatically raise the rate in shallow waters and lower it in deep waters, further providing detailed detection of seabed targets.

Since 1948, when the world’s first fish finder was commercialized, Furuno has provided quality and reliable hallmarks. Today, Furuno is a global marine electronics manufacturer responding to the needs of commercial fishermen through its various marine electronics. NMEA has recognized Furuno’s products as award-winning, but commercial fishermen globally continue to turn to Furuno as their trusted fish-finding guide.
