As the dust settles on the Virginia legislative session, one might say it was a decent year for the Chesapeake Bay.

From protecting trees to restrictions on pavement sealants, lawmakers passed multiple bills. But once again there was no progress on efforts to fund a badly needed study of menhaden fish in the Chesapeake Bay.
